9 Days Turkey Tour

As you arrive in Istanbul, our driver will be waiting at the exit with a sign showing your name, ready to take you to your hotel. Settle in, check into your room and rest after the flight. At a convenient time, your travel consultant will meet you at the hotel to welcome you and give a brief overview of your nine-day tour.

Following breakfast, your guide collects you from the lobby for a morning and afternoon on foot through old Istanbul. You will explore Hagia Sophia, the celebrated Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, where the Egyptian Obelisk of Theodosius and the Serpentine Column from Delphi still stand, before moving on to the German Fountain, the opulent Topkapi Palace and the bustling Grand Bazaar. It is all within walking distance, and at the end of the day you will be returned to your hotel.

After breakfast and check-out, your driver will collect you from the hotel for the transfer to the airport and the one-hour flight to Cappadocia. On arrival, our representative will meet you at the exit and take you to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to explore the charming town of Goreme at your own pace.

You might begin with an optional sunrise balloon flight over Cappadocia — one of the trip's most memorable experiences. Early this morning your driver will collect you from the hotel for the transfer to the airport and the one-hour flight to Cappadocia. On arrival, our representative will meet you at the exit and bring you to our office, where you can leave your luggage before the guided northern Cappadocia tour. You will see the Esentepe rock panorama, the Byzantine-era Uchisar Castle from outside, and Pasabag, Devrent and the Three Beauties valleys. The day continues in the old towns of Urgup and Avanos, the latter known for red-clay pottery, where you can try the wheel, before you are transferred to your hotel.

After breakfast and check-out, your guide will collect you for a tour of southern Cappadocia. You will explore Meskendir and Rose Valley, famous for their red rock formations, with time to walk among the scenery, and visit Cavusin with its cave houses and the well-named Pigeon Valley. The view from Love Valley is unforgettable, and you will descend into the Kaymakli Underground City and its many levels of rooms, wineries, tombs and stables, with the chance to attend a traditional carpet-weaving demonstration. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Izmir, where our representative will meet you at the exit and take you to your hotel in the Kusadasi area.

After breakfast, your guide will collect you from the hotel at the appointed time and head for Ephesus. Among the highlights are the Temple of Artemis — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — the 25,000-seat amphitheatre, the celebrated Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and the harbour street of the ancient city, finishing at the House of the Virgin Mary. Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel.

After breakfast and check-out, your guide will collect you at the set time for a full day at Pamukkale and Hierapolis — about two and a half hours' drive through lovely scenery, with a lunch break on arrival. You will explore the gates of ancient Hierapolis, its necropolis and beautiful ancient theatre, and the famous travertines, whose icy-white panorama is one of the trip's most captivating sights; there is the chance to swim among the ruins in Cleopatra's pool or visit the Hierapolis Archaeology Museum. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul, where your driver will be waiting with your name on a sign to take you to your hotel.

After breakfast, the day is free for you to enjoy Istanbul however you wish. A half-day Bosphorus cruise is a must on any visit, or you could arrange a day out to the nearby islands for a swim or a bike ride. In the evening, a Bosphorus dinner cruise offers a lovely view of the city lit up at night, with the European and Asian shores on either side.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. Depending on your international flight time, our driver will be waiting in the lobby to take you to the airport. This brings your nine-day Turkey tour to a close, and we hope to welcome you again.
